I've seen a few people post these photosphere photos recently, and while the concept isn't new, it seems be a new feature on Android phones. I fancy having a go at taking one but other than photosphere, I don't know what they are called. Photosphere only seems to return (on my brief visit to google) pages related to android phones, and I just wanted some tips on the set up.

If you don't know what I am talking about, it's this sort of thing.
Can anybody point me in the right direction?

There is someone on here who's shot stuff like that - I thought it might have been liquid101 but checked a few of his photo sharing threads and couldn't find any so maybe someone else :( - hopefully someone else will spot this thread and remember better than I

Jim, I vaguely remeber a picture of an underground station tunnel 360 deg picture as well. Don't remeber who by, sorry.

I think these are generically panoramas using a fish eye lens that are stitched together to give a full hemishpere view. Alternatively you can buy a mushroom type mirror that gives you the same effect (with some software to decode).

Something like this - Bubblescope 360 Degree Optical Camera Lens with Case: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics or this 360 degree lens, camera, software. One-Shot Virtual Tours & Panoramas. 360 camera.

Thanks Jim. I think they are the ones I first saw that made me want to give it a go. :)

It must be simpler than that as you can do it via an android phone. Maybe it is just an app.

Got any tips or links to your shots?
