After months of rumour Apple have announced their 'pro' photo application - Aperture - designed as a RAW workflow production solution it seems to target all the pro features pf CS2 but only works in the RGB colourspace with ICC targets for output !!

Will retail at £349 and ship in 6 weeks or so ...

Looks good. Hopefully it'll put an end to the constant saving out of different files when editing from RAW. The whole bridge/CS2 set up has made things easier but it's still a multiple application workflow... which isn't ideal. It'll be interesting to see what photoshop functionality it includes too and whether it'll be as flexible (actions, 3rd party plug-ins etc) as photoshop.

Just need one of the new Quad G5 Powermacs to run it on and you're laughing.
