I know a lot of you have the LG and I was hoping that you could post photos of your RZ42PX11 mounted on the wall.

Only 6 days till I get mine ! Not that I am counting or anything !

heres mine mate allthough i cheated, its not wall mounted its placed on the fireplace lol and kept tight2the wall with the 2 lil brackets inc with panel to prevent it topling
dont worry iv tried pulling it off the wall/fireplace, it wont budge,
a good benefit of wall mounting is if godforgives we get burgled it wont half p*ss the crims off when they try to take the panel etc lol

Yeah but knowing your typical thieving scumbag, they'll either rip it from the wall anyway or stick an ornament through it for the sheer hell of it.

Happened to a mate of mine - he was burgled and it was obviously one guy so his 50" Pio was a bit too much to carry(!) - so the scroat stuffed a carriage clock in the front and totalled it!! :suicide: Luckily he'd had the plasma put on his insurance as a specifically named item, and the time lag between claiming for the loss and receiving the cheque meant that after he'd replaced it he was about £500 up on the deal!

The LG does look really good on the wall IMHO.

Cannot wait to get mine now ! The wall mount arrived yesterday but I have to decorate my bedroom before I can put it on the wall. Better make a start on the weekend I think ! LOL !

Never mind the mount - where did you hide the cables - damn fine job there. :smashin:

Is it a stud, solid or dot and dab wall it is on??

    Cheers

hi guys, its mounted with a narrow (thin depth) rs100 bracket, which holds it about 40 mil from the wall, i have a scart in there as well (even though they say you need the extention bars for this) and component-in from my playstation (the pic you see is from my ps2)not a bad pic

its a stud wall and i used coach bolts for the stud points and cavity wall fixers for the rest, it took my weight no problem and holds the screen effortlessly. the cables are routed a "special" way :smashin: i'll take more pics when i get time

    cheers

ok heres a pic of the rs100 bracket, pretty slim i think you'll agree.

and here is how i routed the cables. these are black plastic handles from maplin priced 99p each, i think they are for making your own p.a. system e.g. handles for the side of your huge speakers or something. i have one mounted behind the screen pointing downwards and this one at the bottom of the wall pointing up. i cut a hole in the back of the hanle to allow the cables to pass through, if your worried about draughts then a piece of foam can be wedged inside. i think this must be the cheapest and neatest solution i have seen. this will be hidden be my shelves that i will be building once i get my finger out

    cheers

for the money i dont think you can get better, i do get colour banding which does **** me off a little but i'm willing to put up with it for the cost, my anus isn't as tight as some on here ;)

no one else notices it, the menus are pretty easy to follow too.

i recommend this screen to anyone.

    Hi there all,

I'm new to the forums and have just purchased the latest LG 42PX4RV plasma. I'm in the process of deciding how to wall mount and whether to build a stud wall from Gyprock or to create a blanking panel to hide the wires. Would anyone have any suggestions for the best, or easiest way to do this?

    Thanks

    Jon..........
