I really like the 1st one though the colours seem a bit off for some reason, great idea though. Even though you could get to a beach you still came up with something different

do you think? ive already put a picture in this month but i may consider changing it if people like the pictures.

the second one didnt capture my eye, it looked great in my head but didnt quite work after 30mins of scavenging for shells and seaweed! could have done with some some waves in the background but the sea was about 300m away, and some kids (my little sister) trashed it when i went for icecream!

the aim was to take some pictures, then guard the scene (with my pitchfork) for the next 2 hours whilst the tide came in and then shoot some more....

i went to the icecream shop for 5 minutes leaving my little sister to guard it. she modified it while i was gone! :thumbsdow

That's what little sisters are for mate, or little brothers for that matter. You tell them to leave it alone and as soon as your back is turned their mucking it up. :rotfl:

Seriously though, I think both of these out-takes look great. I prefer the comb one, like the brown-ness of the photo. But also think your red-sky at night entry is great too.

"ive already put a picture in this month but i may consider changing it if people like the pictures.

It's been said before, and no offence is meant, but i dont think it's a good idea share what's been taken for the comp unless it's an entry or comp is over otherwise it kind of ends up as a mini poll and on what we should enter, i know that's not your intention, but being told you'll get a vote before you've even banged it in is not really good for the comp

    No offence jamie;)

I won't change my entries anymore even though i have in the past. As you've just said, if i like something enough to use it for the comp then i'm going to stand by it from now on.

I'm not even going to read any crtique on my entries or give any to others. I'll use my vote, and give opinion after the comp has ended

Firstly i take the photos for me, it's more important that they interest me then anybody else. If others like them that's a bonus

i didnt take that sunset picture for the competition, it just worked once id taken it, i didnt sit on a beach for 2 hours in the rain for the photocompetition i did it because i wanted to.

i enjoy reading feedback on peoples comp entries, its good, its like having your own thread dedicated to one of your images, and people pass comment on it, i like that, and wish people would do it more.

When i do take a photo for the comp i'm doing it for me as i enjoy it, but i have to like what i enter more then anything, . I'm just going to use the crituqe section, which seriously needs improving. I'm not going to let opinion change my entry as i have in the past, i won't learn anything from that.
