Anyone done this?

Where's a good place without costing the earth

Thinking of something on a larger scale at a3 size or bigger depending on cost

Where abouts are you? Why the requirement for aluminium? ( Just curious is all.. ) Ive had Acrylic done in the past but not aluminium.

Maybe worth phoning a couple of print shops around the area - they may know of somewhere locally that does.

It is quite a specialist thing to do to print onto Aluminium and make it long lasting especially if outside.. Is it just a full a3 + sized print but onto aluminium?

A quick google brings these guys up.. Direct print on aluminium Dibond - WhiteWall - A little over £36 for A3.

Its a print I want to do but going into the garage

Doesn't have to be aluminium
But I saw it once and thought it was very cool and ready to hang up, bit more durable and wipeable

Open to other thoughts if it's too costly

I would go for a mounted direct printed acrylic tbf. Printed right, they are great for an impact piece.

On looking, acrylic prints are more so perhaps, aluminium is the cheaper option. I just prefer the way acrylic prints look and are mounted. Also look good backlit too! :D

Thanks
Will have a look

Otherwise will look at a poster size print with a clip frame or something

those metal canvas type things look cool

having a look at the prices i.e. the link above a 100 x 70 is £178 excluding shipping

think i will probably go down poster print and then with a simple frame like:
STRÖMBY Frame - black - IKEA

or will keep an eye open on groupon canvas to see how much a 100 x 70 or similar is
only thought of canvas is possible markings, dirt/ dust from garage

looking at poster printing, i didn't realise banner vinyl printing is so reasonable

Vinyl Banners | Ultimate Quality | Zip Posters
A1 £17.99
A0 £11

although what would clarity be like on a photo:
Stock:500 gsm Outdoor Vinyl Banner
Print Specs: 1200 x 1200dpi

Whats the resolution of your camera.
Ive taken landscape shots on my blad and printed onto canvas which is then varnished and framed.
I've heard of aluminium prints but its highly specialised and expensive
