Hi
I'm having a problem with my phone connection with Sky. I have two boxes - Sky + and 'normal' upstairs. I thought I had both connected to the phone line but I've been getting letters contrary to this! So I checked....
Sky+ - connected
Normal - no phone line connected
Odd. So I did some testing of the lines, taking everything back so it was just each box connected directly to the phone line... same problem.
So I took the cables out of both boxes and put the Sky+ box line to the normal box, and it worked. Great, obviously a faulty cable going to the normal box. So I tried a few spare cables and none worked, so I bought a brand new (phone) cable and that didn't work either.
So, my question is, does the phone line that comes out of the back of the sky box need to be a specific type of cable?
Cheers
