I own a Philips 34 inch flatscreen TV (non-widescreen as we dont get any widescreen in NZ other than DVD) and a Marantz RC2000 mk II. The remote has been able to learn anything I have thrown a it including the hard to learn sony 2 way IR remotes sound field codes. However it doesnt deal with the Philips codes. It will learn them but when retransmitted the TV seems to get confused - it will work first time but not second time. Have to wait 10 or so seconds to try again - seems as if the TV is waiting for the rest of the code or something. Seems strange especially given the remote actually comes with Marantz/Philips codes built in. Any help?

have you looked at www.remotecentral.com, there is a very good chance you can download the codes from there.
