Hi all, I have just placed my order for the Philips Monroe. I think I found the best price for this PJ. I have ordered it from http://www.techtronics.com for £1585 including delivery and VAT.:) On the down side is that it will take 2-3 weeks for delivery as it comes direct from the manufacturer.:( Anyone able to beat this price.

Maybe price drop on current Monroe’s has a connection to the rumour about Philips releasing a new 16:9 version of the Monroe this fall?

I just wish I knew the planned price and resolution of this new Monroe if there is any substance in that rumour…

If anyone sees a Monroe for less than 1500.00 let me know please.
I think I might prefer one to the Panasonic

Planning is for the Monroe to run alongside the 16:9 product. Both will be available at the same time to give consumers a choice.

UK RRP on the Monroe is £1995+VAT (£2344 inc VAT).

Apocklington: £1585 is a "too good to be true" price. Are Techtronics sure they haven't got their sums wrong?

On second thoughts, ask them this after they've delivered your projector;)

    Regards

An SVGA 4:3 projector. What resolution will you get when displaying a 16:9 image? Believe you me I saw the AE100 in operation against a £4k TW100 yesterday and there was nothing between them. Honest.

Following that I have ordered an AE100. It was just awesome and is a true 16:9 pj as well. Wicked :D
