Just a quick question (I'm useless with tech stuff!) - I currently have Sky HD plummed into my DVI input. I'm about to buy an Xbox 360 but my TV only has one DVI input, how do I go about plugging it in? Do I need one of these switch box's? I don't really want to have to unplug Sky each time but I guess it isn't too much hassle.

Thanks.

Do you have component inputs on your TV? If so, that'll be the best way of connecting, as it'll still give you a HD output for your 360 (360 Premiums come with a component lead). Alternatively you can buy a 360 HD VGA cable, and use that if your TV has a PC Input.

Hi,

Yeah, looks that way I'm afraid. Looks like you are going to need :

  • a 360 HD VGA Cable
  • a VGA to DVI adaptor (enabling you to make the VGA plug into a DVI plug)
  • and a DVI Splitter

Hi Unless your TV has a HDMI port (or you want to be lots of HDMI-DVI Adaptors) its not going to work.

Your best bet would be:

One of these (DVI switch box):

One of these (DVI-VGA Adaptor)

And one of these (360 HD VGA Cable)

Have you found a 360 Premium? I've PM'd you details of mine. If you are interested, let me know, and I'll post info in your wanted thread.

Thanks again - I'll go buy those bits tomorrow, will try and order the dvi switch box now. I think my Brother is letting me have his 360 at a stonking price, if not I'll be in touch :)

All these cables are confusing
