Philips: What's the difference between the 8946 and 9946?

    These designate two different model ranges within the Philips range.

    The 9846's are rather less technically advanced with no accomodation for HiDef or any digital feed for that matter, whereas the 9946's have DVI inputs, Progressive Scan and rather better overall specifications. I gather that the 9946's are the more recent models. (This info derived from checking the specs on the 26" TV's)

    However, the prices for both seem to be very similar. The 26PF9946 is an ugly wee blighter though...

    Thanks Jim,

    I'm looking at the 23" but I guess the answer's the same.

    I'm looking for something to "put up in the bedroom"!
