I am about to buy a widescreen TV but cant decide between the Sony KV32FC60Z and a Philips 32PW9616C. I have seen no reviews of the Sony and am aware that it has no nicam facility. The philips on the other hand has won all sorts of awards. Both would run through a Denon AVCA10SE Amp and a Sony DVP 735 DVD player.

    Thanking you in advance

    Hi,

Both have inbuild DD decoders right?
i suggest you buy the the philips.Because it is the newer model. And of course winning all these prizes must mean something right..

But have you checked the TVs with DTS/DD decoders build in?
I refer to the Panny PG 50 and hitachi wf810.
I don't think it's that much more expensive than the 9616 and it also provides you with progressive scan as an option.

    have fun choosing your TV.
