Have recently bought Philips Monroe projector, it is very good, quiet fan, 6000 hours bulb life, 3 year warranty thrown in. Sometimes on recorded Sky films (not box office) picture goes bright and dark, has anyone else had this problem? It is o k on normal tv films, and when watching Sky "live".

That does sound like Macrovision kicking in. Odd if they're not taped from Box Office though.

Posted the other day about picture going darker on recorded Sky films, it can`t be Sky as it happened on Enterprise (star Trek)prog the other day. Anyway have connected an old Bug Blaster I got from Lektropacks years ago, and it seems to have corrected it. Must be something to do with sync.

Nick, how do you rate your Monroe projector. A while back a few people stated in interest in it....but i have seen no reviews of it. Does anyone know a link to a faq/pdf/review of the device. Just wondering what the specifications of it are....
    Best regards

I am very happy with it, What Hi-Fi gave it an iffy review, but I cannot agree with their findings. Well worth checking out, try Projectavision on What Video hardware site. What Video have reviewed it favourably on their site.

Are you using it with a dvd player, or a hcpc Nick?. And does it have a component input?

No have got it connected to Pioneer DVD DV444 player via S video cable. Sky is connected to video via scart lead into AV1, video is connected to projector via scart adaptor AV2 with composite lead. Picture o k. Have not tried rgb.
