What is the Delta Volume and AVL controls for on the Philips TV's
Delta allows you to adjust the volume difference between different sources (AV1 and AV2 for example) so you dont deafen yourself
AVL is automatic volume level which stops the volume raising when you change channels or adverts.
All in your manual mate
Thanks for the info, that is a great help Cheers
P.S. Not in my Manual 30pf9975 for some strange reason
Anyone know if the Sharp 32GA3E has AVL ? The wife gets really p*ssed off when the volumes increases on adverts.
My 37PF9986 was delivered yesterday. Fantastic TV, and the PQ from Sky + and DVD is great even on the out of the box settings. Ambilight great too. Manual however, as mentioned elsewhere, is somewhat lacking. I'm a little confused by the digital Natural Motion (DNM) function. Its mentioned in the demo mode but I haven't yet found a place to set it on or off. Under the digital options menu there's a choice of Pixel Plus II, Movie Plus or Progressive. Anyone know if the DNM is perhaps part of the Movie Plus Mode? I'll probably have no need for anything except the Pixel Plus II, but it's nice to know what's available! Cheers John
I think that the DNM is built in to the TV's processing software. I'll check in the service menu if it is optional.
Get back to you later..
...3 hours later...
The DNM cannot be adjusted in any way. Not that you'd want to anyway.
Thanks Jimmy. Just watching Chicago now feeling quietly satisfied with my purchase! John
