Hi this is my first post here :hiya:
I have just bought a 32" Philips LCD TV Philips 32PF4320/10 in Sweden.
I have it connected like this:
Scart 1 (RGB)=Xbox with a MS original Advanced Scart RGB Cable.
Scart 2=DigitalBox and i have my Yamaha DVD S550 connected through the digitalbox´s scart 2.
My problem is that when i start my xbox the screen sometimes turns completely blue,if it doesn't turn blue it's scrolling so i barely can't see the picture. And if it starts okay then there is blue lines around the text and objects.
This is my second LCD because i thought the first one was defective but now it's the same on this one.
I had a 26" Philips LCD TV and it was the same with that one.
My xbox works fine on a regular TV with the same scart cable.
:lease: help me out on this.

try changing the framerate on the xbox to 50hz to see if that helps. you can do it via the xbox dashboard. My lcd did a similar thing but with a purple screen. But now it seems to work fine on both frame rates not sure why, oh and i have the official rgb scart too. Failing that there may be an option on your tv to accept the various video inputs (ntsc, pal 50/60 etc).

Either the sync rate is wrong (but you say it is 50 Hz), or the cable does not output a correct sync signal to the SCART connector.
There is some trickery involved in converting a VGA signal to SCART RGB so this is where it might go wrong.
I don't know the XBOX so I can't tell you much more...

A regular TV often accepts more errors than a digital TV.

Here is a picture of my xbox´s ms dashboard.
The blue line is much more visible when i look at the screen instead of the picture i took.

    What is a "dodgy lead"?
It looks like the rgb allignment is out of order or something.
This sucks when it's brand new and my second one with same thing

I have now connected the xbox alone to the tv.This is defently a rgb problem on this lcd tv.I have tested with 3 different xbox RGB cables.
If i have it connected to EXT1 (Scart 1-RGB) i got the blue lines. If a play a shooter the crosshair has different colour around it when i highlight something.Look at the pictures.
Connected to EXT2 (Scart 2-non RGB) i have none blue lines but not a good picture because of the non rgb scart.
Can't i fix the rgb so they are good in some way?Service Menu or something like that.

It is extremely unlikely that this is a TV problem - especially as this TV is showing the same problems as your previous one(s).

It's your Xbox. Bound to be. I assume you know that the Xbox is outputting RGB? Ext1 and Ext2 are both RGB, it's only Ext3 that is Composite.

Does your Digibox and DVD player work properly through Ext1 and 2? I bet they do.

Have a major fiddle with the Xbox and possibly try different feeds from it. Even RF!

    The TV will be fine.

I have 2 xboxes and both are the same on this LCD and not on the other lcd i got. This philips hasd only got 1 rgb and thats on EXT1.
I'm gonna check right now if the dvd has any problems on scart 1 rgb.
What do you mean by even RF and fiddle with the xbox, you can't change so much on it.

Sorry Swede, I haven't been much help. I just don't understand how you can have the same fault on a number of TV's without it being the source. Yet you get the same fault with both your Xboxes...most of the time...and now your DVD player too....Jings!

You haven't got a really bad power supply have you? I have heard of people having to clean up their power supplies in order to sort out this kind of mysterious problem. There are cables available to do this....just a thought.

No man, every thought or idea is good.
Well i took another long powersupply that i plugged in the kitchen and just hooked up the TV and let everything else as it was.
    It was the same,no difference.

Can someone confirm that this is a RGB alligment problem?
Also have noticed that the blue ,red are shadow or what to call it are visible when connecting through S-Video too but not so visible as on the RGB scart input EXT 1.
Can't this be fixed through a service meny or something?

    Good to know.
Well i'm now a happy owner of another nice tv and it's flawness, lol so i don't really care anymore or atleast i don't have the will to do so.

Btw,thanks Philips for reading my topic. :hiya:
