Philips LCD display issue

I have had a Philips Amiblight LCD TV for a few years now and its been great.

Just recently however it has developed a fault. When first switched on there are two seperate lines of pixels running from top to bottom that seem to be dead. After about 10-15 minutes the two lines of pixels start working correctly and the full picture is displayed perfectly.

Has anyone any ideas what is causing this? Is it something that can be fixed at all.

Thanks.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't think it's fixable. It sounds like a panel failure.

It will probably get gradually worse until the entire screen is covered completely with vertical lines.

Just had this problem with my Toshiba and there are users on here reporting similar issues with Sony sets.

Thanks, its kind of what I expected. I'll have to live with it for now. At least the price of them has come down dramatically. Cost me a fortune when I first bought it.

It weird how it fixes itself after a few minutes though. Ah well.
