    Hi all,

I hope I'm in the right forum, if not, apologies.

I'm about to build a new HTPC and have spotted a great sounding feature on the Asus X470 called Aura Sync X Philips Hue, details here- Asus ROG STRIX X470-I GAMING AMD AM4 X470 Mini-ITX Motherboard - Novatech

I have seen a few people rating the genuine Philips LED strips as over-priced and not that great a performer. I also saw someone say that they were able to used cheaper non-Philips LED strips with the Hue Bridge. But they didn't provide any details.

Has anyone managed to get a Hue Bridge working alongside and Asus motherboard and use a cheaper non-Philips LED strip to create an Ambilight-like experience, whereby the LED strips match the colours displayed onscreeno via the PC?

If anyone has any success on this I'd be really grateful if you could tell me what worked and what didn't and hopefully which LED strips will work with a Philips Hue Bridge.

    Any tips welcome.

    Cheers

    Langers
