Philips HTS8100/5 interface board problems

Hello, My farther has a Philips HTS 8100/5 which has has a interface board fail.

Philips have said that they can not get the parts to fix it, and it has turned into a right ball ache.

If anybody has had the same problems or even knows a fix, I would greatly appreciate it.
