Bought 5 x 11w Philips energy saving light bulbs at Sainsburys at the weekend. Big display just near the checkouts - had to get them to check prices at checkout as it seemed like a pricing error but it was right!

How do they do them for 10 pence each!!!!!

One of my drinking buddies said that a number of carbon offset consultancies have set up to advise firms on their carbon position. Apparently one way to make business such as Sainsburys more carbon neutral is to promote and sell these type of bulbs cheaply!!! Some companys plant new trees each year in an attempt to get closer to a carbon neutral business.

So now all we need is for Yamaha to come out with a more energy efficient amp and for Currys to sell them at 5 for £100!!!!!!

I went in on Monday night and there was 1 bulb left :( Typical, too good an offer though, I'm hoping they will be back in stock when we go on Sunday morning otherwise it'll just be another that got away :(
