    Hi Guys

    Can anyone help please?

I purchased a philips dvp720 the one that plays sacd, anyway had it about a week and played various dvd's just great, really pleased with the machine and a bargain at £48 from dabs.

Well today went out and bought a war of the worlds sacd to see what it would sound like and well, no sound came out!!!!!!!!.

I have the dvd connected to my receiver (pioneer vsxd814) via coax. There are six phono outs on the back of the dvd player (left/right,rear left/right,centre and sub) in order for playback of sacd in multi-channel do these outputs need to be hooked up to my receiver?.The manual does not seem to be clear on this.It does say if you have a powered sub(which I have) the sub out (on dvd player)should go into sub directly, how have you guys connected yours please.
