    Hi,

I just got myself this player and would like to update the firmware of it.
The firmware currently available on philips support is v1.73 which comes with Cinavia protection.
Can someone please upload the zip file of the older firmware v1.72 or v1.66?

    Thanks :)

hi, firstly sorry for re-awakening this thread but i thought it was more relevant to my issue.

i bought the philips bdp3200/05 blu-ray player at the start of this year, and like a fool i updated the firmware on it a month or so ago (that included cinavia, firmware v1.72).......now, i have downloaded the older firmware found on post no.2 on this thread but when i try to update firmware i get the error msg saying something like "error file verification blah blah" and does not proceed to updat, i`m using 4gb fat32 formatted usb stick with the " UPG_ALL" folder and the 3 .bin files included.........any ideas where i`m going wrong or is this not reversible now........help would be great to get older firmware on it

    Model: BDP3200/05 (uk)
S/N for my player is: KX1A1103761120

As far as I know there is no v.1.72 for players with s/n KXxxxxxxxxxx. Also, according to the fw release notes, Cinavia was introduced in v.1.74 (for players with S/N KXxxxxxxxxxx) and in v.1.73 (for players with S/N GS1Axxxxxxxx/VB1Axxxxxxxx).

Are you trying to downgrade? It can only be installed if your current version is 1.72 or lower. Philips disabled the ability to downgrade to the non-cinavia firmware.

hi.u won't be able to downgrade.the only solution is to play your movies from a memory stick through your dvd'd usb.

I know this is an old thread but does anyone have the 1.72 firmware for this BDP3200/05 unit? I have an early version 1.63 and wish to update it to 1.72 and not 1.73 for obvious reasons. However I cannot find a working english link! As the dropbox link is dead and the depositfiles link is no more. Hopefully someone has it?
