I have noticed a problem with my philips 9986. The tv is fantastic but I have noticed that when I put a sky feed through the component from my E85H dvd player and into the DVI connection of my tv, I notice that some areas that I believe should be orange in colour come through as green, very distracting. I notice it most in the simpsons where there is obviously large areas of the same colour orange.

I am using the component -> vga lead and the vga->dvi connector I received with the TV.

I also notice a haze around the edges of things like the sky yellow and blue menus.

    Any Ideas?

Your sky box does not output component. Connect with a quality scart lead set to RGB on your skybox and this should/could solve your problem.
