Anyone using PAL Progressive out on this player to Panny Plasma ?
Report any problems or positive feedback if you are please.
(Like picture quality , audio sync etc)

Also I assume as it's a Philips it will play +R/+RW fine but what about DVD-R. Anyone playing these OK on it ?

I think its pants and wish I had never sold me Tosh SD900E :(

Pic quality is good but its not as good as the Tosh.
Sound is excellent and at least on par if not better than the Tosh.
Anyone with an AE100 PJ should not get this DVD Player contrast is really poor, but on CRT or Plasma I dont think it suffers.

JSW very interested in your reply.

I was thinking of getting the 963 as a partner to my AE100 but am holding off due to the release of all the new PAL PS players.

However I can also get hold of a SD900E at a very good price right now. Are you suggesting that it is better than a PAL PS player ?

Where can you get an SD900E at a good price ??

I may just go get another too :D

The pic quality on the Tosh is Superb !

The interlaced pal is that good that IMO you don't need PS Pal :)

I deeply regret selling my TOSH and I did say to the buyer at the time I would probably regret it DOH!!!

Well I heard Hyperfi were doing it for £399 which sounds absurd but I doubt they have any stock whatsoever. RS are doing it for £599. My usual dealer has one machine that he has kept aside and is always trying to flog it to me. Shall we say he's finally got around to a price that has got me interested !

Interlaced that good on it, really ? I thought PAL PS was all the rage ?

I think I may have to investigate further. Is it a hard/software mod to get it to do MR as well ?
