    Hello,

I recently bought a Philips 963SA (second hand) and I own a Panny AE300 projector. I had tried the last firmware update for the dvd source and the unofficial 1080i one. To be honest, I miss the 720p for the dvd, which is not available.

In the end I put the 1080i and is the one that I keep. I would like to know if someone, with a panny projector (better if the AE300) has this player, and, in case someone has this combination, what viewing component output is using (unprocessed, 480p or 1080i).

The image quality with 1080i, which is detected by my projector as HDTV60 in the PAL mode is awesome  but there is a problem with geometry. For a 16:9 or 2.35:1 film the size is not the same as using 480p. Simply speaking, the projector seems to project more light in the top / bottom / laterals areas... difficult to explain. Has someone experimented this???

    Thanks in advance. :lease:

    JM

Or even a Panny 300? How are you feeding it in that case?

    regards
