I have a 9527 which I am thinking about buying the cordless rear speakers that you can get for it.The sound presently is not too bad would the rear speakers make a noticable difference or would I be wasting my money.

Has anyone got them or anyone with any views?

If they're anything like the cordless rear speakers (and yes, they're Philips) that I bought, then one thing's for sure - you'll be buying a lot of batteries!

Odd, the cordless speakers that come with the 9617 are mains powered (and are therefore cordless only between the TV and the speakers). They sound good tho' :D

Even odder....the 9527 is a NICAM set so what do you want with rear speakers ?
PS....I too have the 9617 with rear speakers and they are very good.

les it's actually a Dolby ProLogic set so rear speakers would be useful.
