philips 7504 no 4k native on pc

Hello,
I connected my 7504 to the pc using different hdmi cables (high speed) and a nvidia 1080ti.
The problem is that the nvidia panel says is 1080p native, but let me use 4k modes (i suposse are upscaling).
The hardware says is using philips ftv but in drivers it says generic pnp monitor.

I have tried everything (related on tv- hdmi optimal- etc) reinstaling drivers (clean mode) but always says that tv is 1080p native in nvidia panel (but offer me 4k modes too).

using monitor asset manager software says the same:

You've got it plugged directly into the HDMI port on the video card? You're not using any adaptor and haven't connected it to the motherboard HDMI port?

Yes, directly on hdmi of the 1080ti card. I have another 4k tv (lg) and it works as native 4k resolution, but changing to this new philips tv, says its 1080p native but allow 4k resolutions,
Very strange

Did you ever manage to get this resolved? I'm having the same problem with my tv. My tv is pus8105/12.
Sorry for being late to the party.

I could fix it with using CRU:
Go down to "Extension Blocks" and click on "add".
Next choose type "DisplayID 1.3" from the Dropdown.
Now again click "add" --> "Detailled Resolutions"
Here you choose 3840x2160 60Hz with Timing "Automatic (HDTV)". Click the "Preferred" Checkbox on the lower right Corner.

Now you either reboot your Computer or use "restart.exe" (for 32bit Windows) or restart64.exe from the CRU Folder.

Voila!

@Sensenmann12345 thank you!

The issue still occurs in December 2022.

I tried both your CRU workaround and this one linked here:

As a recap from the previous thread here's what was tried:
  • using several AV receivers
  • directly connecting the PC to my 55POS9002
  • using HDMI 2.0 & 2.1 cables
  • using several of the latest graphics cards
  • using other 4K native TVs

and still the issue only occurs on my Philips set.

Philips customer service did not help either. What a pity!
