I've just bought a Philips 723 slimline DVD player. Now I've just been on the philips website & I can't see a DTS logo on the front of the dvd, it only has dolby digital. The dvd has an builtin DD decoder & optical/coax out, So i just wanted to know if DTS will work when I connect the dvd to my Marantz SR4200.

    Thanks in advance

I haven't checked the spec of your player but.

It should output the DTS signal for your Marantz sr4200 to decode via the coax or optical out. Just select the DTS soundtrack from the DVD disk audio options. Set you 4200 to auto or select DTS manualy and away you go.
