It did start out at an RRP of £4500 so that's some drop,. Richer Sounds were flogging them for about a grand but that was a while ago. Just Google the item and read the reviews, if on balance you like what you read press the button. Remember though , £750 is still a lot of money to spend on something you ultimately might not like and there are plenty of good 50 inches out there for similar price. Granted slightly smaller but maybe with better picture quality, and more features. Happy hunting.

    Thanks :)

Possible to get a 55" to 60" 1080p plasma freeview HD for under £1000?

Just about but you'll be compromising a bit on quality - better to get a better 50" from Panasonic or Samsung - ahead of LG this year - and only a 1 year warranty

LG 60PZ250 60PZ250T 60" 3D Full HD DivX HD Plasma TV

55" is more of an LCD size, start around £1200

55VT30 plasma is well out of budget as is flagship
