    Hi,

I'm new to this forum, and first i would like to thank everybody for the help that they give on this Forum.

I want to buy a new TV for my livingroom.

I thought that the LG 55UF850V or the 55UG870v was going to be a good choise, but after reading some intel from some posts i don't know that anymore.

So i saw yesterday this model PHILIPS 55PUS9109.

    Is it good or what
    Does anybody got one?

I LOVE Ambilight.. but i dont want the Tv just to be a light spectacule..

I want it to see movies normaly in 1080p (but also i want a good performer of 4k contents).
I love movies in 3D and i want a TV that can delivery stellar ou pretty damn close performance in 3D.

I dont want to be spending money every 1-2years on new TV's.. i hope that the one that i get last for 3-4years.
So it has to be also "some" future proof.

On a avforums article i read this "The Philips UHD 880 will be launched in the first quarter of 2015 and will be free to consumers who buy a 2014 Philips 8000 or 9000 series Ultra HD 4K TV." so if it is free it will be som future proof right?

But even then, nothing that an external movie mediaplayer can't deliver.

    Thanks for all the help.

Hi , I was in the same thinking as you. comparing between LG and sony, at the same time waiting for Philips. I saw a deal in pixmania (still there) and gone with the philips. Fantastic TV . Loving everyminute.

Amazing picture, Ambilight is brilliant - 4 sides ( still amazed why they cant sell these in UK)

Only down side is you cant get amazon video in google, also I have been told there is no built in 4k codec converter (cant remember the name) . to be honest I didn't care , I am not regretting it.

I tested 4k videos from google and seems to play fine.

Sound is very good and clean. it comes with a wireless sub ( never realised it until I opened it).

Another plus point you can add XMBC as an app within this TV which will open more possiblity if you are expert on that.

not regretting at all. I was going to get a lower one 8809 from AZ Europe as they were selling it for £1k (not sure how safe the order will be), now Pixmania sell thing this for slightly higher I have gone for this.

    hope this helps

I eventualy got the LG 55ec930v OLED.
    I love it.
I was a bit pricier but it has an outstanding image.
    The best within fullhd .
    Missing ambilight though..

The sound isnt great but i bought the Philips 5145 soundbar. Its excelent.
It has the upgrade of the same type of subwoofer that you have recieved. Its double the size. I advise it.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Best regards.
