Friend recently purchased as an open box item the Philips TV referenced in the title. He was told that it was a return but has found out that it was a store display. Is there any way to determine (i.e. service menu) how many hours the unit has been on? Also, his remote control doesn't look like and have the same type buttons shown on the European remotes I've viewed on the net. Anyone one know which button he should press after entering the code. Thanks to all for any input you may offer.

Be carefully! There is no factory setting reset there! All the changes are final!

You have to have the tv on a analogue, channel and input the code without a pause.
