Hi i have seen the specs for the new Philps Plasma TV 42PF996 but there is no component inputs for the set, only 3 euro scarts (2 of them can accept RGB), a DVI input and a S-Video.
Are the people at Philips stupid?

No, well not completely. Folks who buy this know what a scart is but likely have no clue about YUV. The screen extracts no real advantage with progressive scan, and without that there is no advantage in YUV over RGB scart in any case.

I just bought yamaha's DSP Z9 in order to upcovert all my signals from XBOX PS2 and Gamecube and i was looking forward for this set but know i am trully disapointed.
Without components this amp is useless.
    Thanks anyway.

You want to buy yourself a better screen than this to match your amp. Consider it a favour.

This is not a UK model, but it's UK equivalents are very well thought of usually. Check for info on PA20/PW6 and you will get the gist of it.
