    Hi All,

my Father just purchased a Philips 42PF9946 and I rigged it up to the home cinema setup I did years ago.

It just connects the Audio out from the Plasma to the TV-IN on a Sony Digital Receiver (STRDB930 if memory serves me correctly).

Now the problem I am facing is that the audio out from the Plasma seems variable _without_ an option in the menu to make it fixed. This is making life annoying as the TV speakers need to stay on when running the audio through the amp. If I mute, then it mutes the audio out, and the silly logo stays on screen too... GRRRR!

Anyone found a solution or something obvious that I may be missing?

    Cheers,

    Hitman

you could try using the audio out of a Bi directional scart socket which should be line level.

    Excellent Idea!

    I'll give that a try.
