Hiya,

Newbie here. Got this Philips 42PF9945/12 that is driving me around the bend.
I am trying to get my PC to work through its VGA input and dont' seem to be able to get anywhere.

The PDF spec downloaded from the Philips website lists that it is capable of displaying sxga 1280x1024 @ 60 or 75 Hz but the user manual says it will only do the following;

EDTV 640/720x480p
720x576p
HDTV 1920x1080i
VGA 640x480 60Hz
VGA 800x600 56Hz

I have asked Philips to clarfy the resolutions this set is capable of diplaying and am still waiting for their reply.
The PC has NVIDIA RIVA TNT model 64/64 Pro For the puropse of elimination , I have tried different PCs on it but still the same (no) result.

I have tried the powerstrip and after much head scratching was able to see only 640x480 on it.

The idea is to be able to surf the net and watch dixv movies on it.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks!
