i was looking at this until i went into comet and saw two big vertical bands running through the picture constantly.the salesman said that it had been like it for months and philips had made no effort to replace it.just put me off paying a lot of money for a tv that will no last long.

    pointbreak - when was this???

I think you must be talking about a different TV - nobody had ANY stock of the 9732 series until 28 August 2007 (and even then, it's only really been the online retailers who are shipping direct from Philips)... the only Philips I've seen in Comet have been so old that they've been ex-production!

    Thanks to All for feedback.

Lostbok, I notice you have a 9632 32 inch, what do you think of yours and do you know what the diff is between the 9732 and 9632?

    Thanks,
    Dave
