Some people were inquiring about the official matching floor stand ST009966. Here are some pics of the 37PF9986 with stand to give you idea of scale etc.

The width is 43 inches. The shelves are 15.5 inches deep but the depth is 19 inches if you include pedestal. Height is 19 inches from floor to bottom of screen and 45.5 to top. The stand weighs around 54kgs as its made of metal so quite heavy. Comes as a flatpack and took a few hours to assemble!
I paid 300 euros in Ireland, but from another thread they are currently hard to get in UK for some reason. Unbeatable has it listed for £318 but not in stock.

    Nice Pad!

This all looks excellent....but, uhmm, I take it that that speaker sittin' there isn't part of a cinema system? It looks a lot like it is the Right channel speaker of a sound system with the left off picture to the left.

Now, what you want to do is........sorry, just bein' nosey.

Wow richard that setup does look nice, I have the smaller stand for the 37PF9986 that Philips sell it was 129 Euro and was very heavy also but I'm sure it was a lot easier to assemble than yours. Can I ask you where you got the stand (or is that allowed on these forums?)
Also your screen looks really big, I have mine in an alcove also but then again the alcove is 180cm/6foot wide. Am considering getting a carpenter to put together a cabinet shelves to fit the width of the alcove, but haven't gotten around to that yet, has anyone else come up with custom solutions for housing there panels besides wall mounting or out of the box retail stands.

Hi Wezzy.Got my stand at Murphys in Princess St, Cork. They only do Philips. You're right Jimmy, speakers are part of my hifi! My next purchase has to be a surround system - want something really small but good, so any suggestions greatly accepted.

That's really easy! The Denon DHT500 is a wee stotter.

This is a Progressive DVD player with built in 600W amp. The satellite speakers are very small and unobtrusive, but the performance with the 9986 is staggering!

I've attached a couple of pics of mine, and if you look carefully you can see the centre speaker sitting on top of the Digibox. All the satellites are this size. (One can be found on the fireplace next to the stove...) The build quality is superb and it can be upgraded to 7.1. All the usual processing functions. Marvellous piece of kit. :smashin:

The Ambilight works really well even if the TV is sitting on an AV stand two or three feet from the wall...
