Hi All,

Firstly great work  keep it all up, and I when I get around the following I will try to provide some feedback as well.

Ok so I have joined the 9986 club and I'm one happy signed up member, now my problem is with connecting for best audio vido combination. What I want to achieve is

Equipment :

Philips 37pf 9986
Sky+ Pace digibox
Panasonic DMRE55
Yamaha Yamaha RX-V350
Sony Playstation 2
Linksys WMA (wireless link to my MP3's on the PC so they pipe through the AV-amp)

Philips Pronto TSU300 LCD programable remote.

What I (think) want to achieve is that as such :

TV--->Sky - Scart
TV--->DVD - DVI via adaptor and RGB

Then should I also connect the DVD and SKY together via SCART so I can backup from HDD to DVD ?

When should I use the optical auidio ouputs ?

How should I plug the PS2 in for best audio / video ?

Basically I'm struggling with the best way to connect this all together. :lease:

Biggest post I have ever seen!

It would seem that you are nearly there....

TV - scart - Sky+
TV - scart - E55
TV - component/DVI - E55
Sky - scart - E55
Sky - optical - Yammi
E55 - optical - Yammi
PS2 - Video - TV Side input.
TV - phono - Yammi
Linksys - S-Video - TV

That should just about do it. You got good cables? If not, don't spend silly money on scarts and the like. Check out www.tvcables.co.uk for amazing cheap cables.

Thanks Jimmi I will give that a crack and if I program my remote correclty with the macro fucntion I can set one button for input change for both audio and video :D
