Have been trawling this forum for a few weeks now trying to decide on a 36" CRT. Have read about all the issues with Philips - and just about every other tv out there, and still this is my favourite.

Anyone know if this still comes with the old Panasonic tube or whether you can get it with the Philips Cybertube? Skulking around Comet, Currys etc. and my only issue has been with the rather "course" phospher dots which are particularly noticable at the peripheral edges of the screen.

This said I still think it has a better, more natural picture than the Panasonic or Toshiba, although hard to gauge with the usual crappy feeds in these stores.

Any advice appreciated, never knew buying a tv was such a headache.
