About to take the plunge and buy this like many others.

Has anyone connected using "long" Scarts ?

I've seen a couple of types at 10m, BUT am I likely to loose picture quality using long cables ?

Can anyone recomment a brand ?

    thanks

This'll cost you! Check out the various suppliers..(www.tvcables.co.uk) and see what they've got...it'll need to be a good one...

I use 10 m scarts and RGBs. The scarts are about 10 years old and the cable is about 1.5cm in diameter. The RGB is a month old. I can notice that the RGB is slightly better than the SCART when playing a DVD. However SKY straight to the TV (and using the RGB output from the digibox) is in my view excellent.

PS The SCARTS are not gold plated

go to Lektropaks for long run cables - they will make them up to your requirement, so if you only need say 8.5 meters you are limiting the length of the run. Use thier Home Cinema or Pro grade cables. I have a SVideo from them at 10 meters running Sky+ to a projector and the quality really is pretty good considering the source and length of the run.
