    Hi,
as many of you know I have already ordered the 32PF9986. But my brother also begun looking for an LCD. After reading this forum (and with my help) he finally ended with two models: the Philips 32PF9986 and the Toshiba 32WL48.
He wants the TV only for DVD viewing.
Unfortunately where we live no store has the Toshiba on display!!! Everywhere we asked they told us that Toshiba isn't any good.
Therefore I would like to have your opinion on the following:
    1. Has anyone seen BOTH sets side by side? Which one had the best PQ?
    2. Is it true that the Toshiba has a 12ms responce time ? On their site they don't even mention it although it would be a positive thing!!!
    3. Is it true that the Toshiba is compatible with 1125i while the Philips with 1080i?
    4. Are the connections on the Toshiba better than the Philips?

I would appreciate it if you could help us out.

1125i and 1080i are technically the same thing - 1080i is the actually number of visible picture lines. It's like with PAL - technically it's got 625 lines, but it only has 576 visible lines.

Connections-wise I'd favour the Tosh, as it has a HDMI socket
