Philips 32PF9967D - anyone know anything about it?

Just been looking at the Philips website and came across this baby. Get this: it has a response time of 6 ms :rotfl:

It quotes a dimming Backlight Contrast of 6000:1 and a brightness of 600 cd/m2 and also has Pixel Plus 2 :smashin:

The Philips product codes are doing my head in however. Where does this telly fit in with the rest of them? Is it a new screen or is it the 9976 in disguise?

Any info on what the latest Philips screens will be and when and they're due also much appreciated!

Cheers

Can't tell you much about the technical aspect as it's not in the brochure, but I saw one of these in my local delaer today and the picture was stunning, I thought it was a DVD showing but in fact it was only a freeview picture! At £1900 with a free DVD/HD recorder I'm seriously tempted.

Where did you see it Gary and ahem ... How much was it? :D

Just done a goggle search on it. Seems like either it's a European model or it hasn't reached the UK yet

And at £1900 it seems a bit steep for a 32" LCD

There was no 'on its own' price, and it was in a local tv shop near newcastle, dedicated philips and panasonic dealers. He said the free DVD was a philips offer probably until november but not sure when it would end. It is an offical UK model, but is new out, look on the philips web site you can download spec. I will be going back for another look during the week, if I get more info I'll post it here.

It does look a very nice set, but after much deliberation I have decided on the Tosh 37wlt58, for a number of reason, its cheaper, it has better inputs and its bigger :smashin:
