I phoned JL Welwyn expecting to have to do some tough negotiating to get them to price match HiSpek in St Albans but then they quoted the £1999 price up front. It took me rather by surprise but I bought one straight away. They've sent me a 1.3 tho' and trying to explain to them that they need to replace it is proving difficult. :(

    Lovely TV tho'. :D

If you bought from JL they have a no quibble 28 day day money back guarantee - no questions asked - just say you want to return the set and get a refund. They will ask you why but you are not required to give them an answer - that's the beauty of JL

Yep - I'd rather they gave me a 2.x set tho'. Getting a refund is a last resort - it's a gorgeous TV and I don't want to give it back! :D

About 5 - 6 weeks ago, there was a post on these forums saying that John Lewis Glasgow were selling at £1937 on a local undersale. At that time, JL at Peterborough were selling at £2199. I rang JL at Glasgow, cofirmed they had stock at that price, then rang JL at Peterborough. All the details were taken and a couple of days later, I got a letter from JL P'Boro confrming they would match the price. As they had no stock at that time, they placed an order for me. Due to a voicemail cock-up (mine broke) I didn't find out my TV had come into stock until last week. Due to my shifts I can't have it delivered until 5/3, but I'm still paying £1937, despite the store price being back at £2995 in store.
I just hope it's been worth the effort once I finally get it

Oh, and please call me John.. Mr. Pickles is my Dad :)
