Philips 30PF9975 v Sharp LC30AA1M

I'm after a 30" LCD, and have read good reviews of the Philips 30PF9975 LCD TV, but nothing on the Sharp LC30AD1E (European version) or LC30HV6U (USA version) or Sharp LC30AA1M (Oceania version), which is a much newer model. I've found out lots of technical info on the Philips, but not a lot on the Sharp, except that it has a much better contrast than the previous model (the LC30HV4E), - 700:1 rather than 500:1.
I'd like to know if anyone can compare the two (mainly regarding picture quality, good fast-motion and HD TV picture, and comnectivity for DVD and anything else -except PCs), and if anyone knows the Pixel Resolution and response time for the Sharp?
