I am new to Home Cinema and all its assocated bits and pieces.

What I would like to know is:-

    (i) Do the four scarts on the 9975 perform exactly the same function? I imagine they do not.

(ii) If they perform different functions then what are the differences between the four scartsI I cannot find this information in the TV handbook

(iii) Is there a good source for this type of technical info for the 9975?

(iv) Where can I find the wiring diagram for differnet types of scart leads, i.e. scart to s-video.

    Many thanks

Scart 1 and 2 support RGB and CVBS, scart 3 and 4 CVBS
Scart 2 also supports YC and has the easylink connection (for VCR's etc) on pin 10
I don't remember if scart 1 supports YC but I think it does.
If you really wanna know I could find out or someone else could confirm.

For a wiring diagram, I suggest you look at http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/satellite/scart/

    It's pretty much all there.

Thanks for the info. I have now found out that S-video is sent as a blcak/white on one lead and colour info on an other. I get a black and white picture bu no colour so only part of the signal is getting through.

Thanks for the info Alan D. I do have a manual and it does not mention S-Video inputs in relation to the Scarts. Its very unhelpful.

However I have found by trial and error that S-Video works correctly in colour only on Extn 2. On the other three scarts you only get black and white.
