Hi there, I'm leaning toward buying the Philips 30PF9975 30" LCD TV but had a question regarding the HDTV formats that it supports, and was wondering if anyone on here knows anything about it.

In the manual it says that the TV supports the following:

    Note: EXT1 can handle CVBS and RGB; EXT2 CVBS, Y/C and RGB; EXT3 and 4 CVBS; EXT5 Y-Pb-Br 480p, 576p, 1080i; VGA IN can hancle VGA, SVGA, XGA and 480p, 576p, 1080i.

Now, if I connect a 720p format source (i.e. XBox) to the TV will it:

    a) not display anything, or display a garbled image
    b) reformat the image to 576p
    c) reformat the image to 1080i

If anyone knows the answer to this, or have come across a similar situation with another TV then I would be very grateful if you could share the info

    Many thanks!

    Lee
