Thinking of buying Philips 28PW8719 but wonder if anyone knows whether it has automatic aspect changing. Currently, I have not seen a Philips advert that includes this feature.

If this is a widescreen model it will change aspect automatically on terrestrial analogue channels (in the UK) which broadcast line23 WSS (currently only CH4 do this I believe).
If you feed it a DVD or Digibox through the scart socket it will do it automatically due to pin8 scart switching.

Many thanks - I use the Sky digibox connected by scart. Not quite sure - is it just Channel 4 or all channels? Previously, I saw a Philips 28PW9509 connected up from digibox through scart, but no automatic switching.
