    Hello all!

I just purchased my first LCD tv, a Philips 26PF4310/10. I have it connected to a Philips LX3000D DVD - surround sound combo.

I am a bit concerned, as the image quality is pretty bad. I don't know if it is the settings or a defective unit. When I loaded up a DVD it looked like a really poorly copied version. The image was kind of pixelated/smeary. I tried messing with the assorted controls (sharpness/brightness/contrast etc) but to no avail. Switching DVDs helped a little, but still not quite "there".

Oddly enough, when I first selected the EXT1 (where I have my DVD plugged in via SCART), the Philips DVD "screen" looked fine, as it used to on my Philips CRT TV. However, even that looks blocky and uneven now.

Any suggestions? Is there a way to reset the Philips 26PF4310/10 back to factory defaults?

    Cheers,

    Mat
