I've just bought a Philips 23PF9956 and have been using it connected to my Apple Powerbook for watching downloaded files and DVDs etc
Only problem is that it doesn't support true widescreen resolutions in PC mode, so it just stretches the screen. This is okay for watching downloaded files as I can alter the file to have different dimensions or read as 4:3 which then stretches it nicely into shape. But with DVDs they just stay in the original format so things in really widescreen (1.85:1 etc) the black bars are massive and the visuals stretched too much and on some DVDs I even have black bars at the side as it won't scale to the screen. Anyone had these problems and know of a work around?
