I've currently got a pioneer ex ondigital box, that's giving me reasonable service. however noticed in Tesco, they're doing a much smaller philips 1500 (with 2 scarts). Wasn't sure whether all freeview boxes were pretty much the same performance wise- or whether this philips machine will out perform what i currently have.

    thoughts?

I've had the 1500 for about 6 months now, no problems with it at all. It will not support TUTV and it won't use the upcoming 7day EPG which isn't a problem for me but might be for you.

Worth taking a look at the technical forum over at DS

The new Pioneer is very good as well :)

None of the current new boxes support TopUpTv.
