Well, I was just watching the Liverpool Everton game, and the commentator said that the Liverpool players were wearing black arm bands due to the death of local DJ Phil Easton. Died today aged 59.

Now, many people here will not have heard of Phil Easton.
But, he joined Radio City in Liverpool in around 1975, and ran a great rock show - the Great Easton Express - for many years. I remember doing my homework when his show was on (1975-79), and he played some great stuff. He was a long time Liverpool supporter and was the announcer at most home games.
But I will remember him as someone who helped shape my musical tastes in my formative years.

    Phil

Likewise,I was in Liverpool from '76 to '87 and woke up to Phil Easton each morning.I remember him playing Jennifer Rush's Power of Love to death until it became a national hit.Shame he died so young,I'm sure he'll be missed by many.
