PHD8 distorted back

Just looked over the back of the panel and noticed the back panel pressing is quite distorted (bulges out on the right hand side and flexes back in on the left) its quite pronounced. Got a torch and looked throgh the holes in the top edge and I can see a small piece of wood keeping the panel back pressing away from the aluminium chasis! Is this normal? The set was only manufactured 19/9/05 so I wouldn't have thought it would have had time to go back to be re-worked for anything related to this. Have any other PHD8 owners noticed a flex/distortion in their back panels? Cheers.

hehe you got wood? *Cough* sorry

im sure wood inside your tv would not be part of the manufacturing process, so ring up panasonic and ask them

Check where your panel was assenbled -Japan or Czechoslovakia?

Could be some bad assembly work in Czechoslovakia.

Well I feel very stupid.....just had another look and its a piece of foam but because its slightly compressed it looked like wood grain and because of the light from my mobile phone's torch (LED) I couldn't make out any colour! Glad I saw it was factory fitted foam before I phoned AVSales and looked a propper nob. Thanks for the replys anyway.
