not bad ivojo have had some good preorder prices in the past Z2 anyone? but if you wait a month (till mid november) when more info is out and stocks start to flow there will be far more competition and probably better pricing.

    Horny

One piece of news announced today being that virtually the whole of the initial shipment of PHD stock bound for the UK has been wiped out in a fire on a container ship; don't expect any 'free flowing' stock between now and the end of the year.

Best plan is to form an orderly queue!!!

    Best regards

    Joe

    Blimey!

Panasonic are taking the Charcoal feature slightly too far :)

Bad news for everyone. Seems as though our demo PHD6 will have to stay where is it for the moment.

If there are going to be no PHD7's, then what would be the best alternative - assuming I can't wait until next year?!!!

I'd set my sights on the PHD7 over the PW6/7 as I wanted 1024/768 for better PC resolution, and ability to have a wireless lan terminal board. The terminal board is a "nice to have", but the 1024/768 I'd like to keep.

I hesitate to think about the cost....but since everyone raves about the Panny screens, should I think about a >42" Panny?

I haven't looked any further, but on AV-Sales website, they list the HD6 as discontinued due to the HD7...

There will be plenty of PHD7 - just not for a couple of weeks yet; get your order in now and you'll be sorted by mid Nov; it'll take longer than that to find an 'alternative'; though you could easily put a Pioneer 43MXE1 on your shopping list.

    You have a PM.

Joe, was there a silver version of the Panny Series 6 HD? If so, I presume there will be a similar version 7 one...

Not from Panasonic Business System UK - the TH-42PHD6BX was only ever available in Charcoal; as is the TH-42PHD7B and Panasonic Consumer choose not to bring the HD units in Silver to the UK.

Its a fairly straightforward affair to remove the bezel and have it re sprayed any colour you like.

    Best regards

    Joe

PS If you order 200 units (minimum) then Panasonic Business Systems UK will supply you Display's in whatever colour you want :)

Won't re-spraying the bezel void the warranty?

    Hello Pat

As ever discuss your requirements with your dealer - they can advise on how 'they' can handle a resprayed bezel if you had to make a warranty claim.

    Best regards

Out of curiosity, (and sorry for taking this a bit more OT) but what kind of spray paint would one use if they wanted to change the finish on the bezel? Would any normal aerosol spray paint do the job or is there something specific that should be used?
